Task 1

Build the paragraph in the right order

Arrange the sentences so that the paragraph develops logically. Think about which sentence introduces the point, which one supports it, and which one brings the paragraph to a close.

What this trains

Strong paragraphs usually move in a recognisable direction: first the point, then the support, then the explanation, then a concrete detail, and finally a sentence that closes the idea.

This task helps you notice that movement and internalise it.

Focus point

Do not just group the sentences by topic. Look at what each sentence does inside the paragraph.

Good strategy

Start by finding the main point. Then ask which sentence supports it, which one explains it, and which one closes the paragraph.

Your task

Drag the sentences into a logical paragraph. Then check your order.

Helpful reminder

A paragraph usually develops like this: point → evidence → explanation → example → conclusion.
